More Ayers of omission

The protection racket known as the MSM (D-Obama) couldn’t prevent the Bill Ayers story from emerging after Sarah Palin included it in an aggressive speech over the weekend.

Obama’s campaign went into full damage control mode and even pointed to the ancient “Keating 5″ scandal in John McCain’s past. But the biggest news of the day was the big mistake by Obama advisor David Axelrod, who, for the first time, offered the defense that Obama didn’t know about Ayers’ and Bernadine Dohrn’s terrorism past when he appeared at their house to launch his political career in 2005.

That undoubtedly is not true. Anyone who follows history and is Obama’s age knows who Ayers and Dohrn are. So why did Axelrod say this? Patterico believes the Obama camp is worried.

Meanwhile, here’s some background on the Weather Underground.
